What is required to be a volunteer? 1. Most importantly, your interest and enthusiasm. 2. We suggest a commitment of at least one day per week for one year, or 336 hours over a one-year period. Some volunteers work a minimum of 3 hours per week and many offer 35 hours per week. 3. All volunteers must obtain medical clearance through our employee health service located at the NYU campus on First Avenue. Volunteers must be over 15 years old.
